1. Purpose and Scope of the Policy

Paradox attaches the greatest importance and care to the protection of privacy and Personal Data, as well as to the respect of the applicable data privacy legislation (hereinafter "Applicable Legislation").

The Applicable Legislation includes notably the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

Under the Applicable Legislation, Personal Data must be processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently.

2. Data Controller

In the course of your activity on our websites and Application, we collect and use Personal Data relating to you, an individual (hereinafter "Data Subject").

For all the Processing activities, Paradox Group DMCC, registration number DMCC-778892, having its registered office at Platinum Tower Unit 4302, Jumeirah Lake Tower, Dubai, determines the means and purposes of the Processing.

Thus, within the meaning of the Applicable Legislation, we act as a data controller.

3. What Personal Data Do We Collect and How?

By using our websites or Application or interacting with us, you provide us with information about yourself, some of which may be used to identify you ("Personal Data").

Data collected via our websites

  • Identification data: Information that allows us to directly identify you, such as your name, first name, and telephone number. We may also collect your email address and postal address.
  • Authentication data: Information you provide to access your personal account, such as your password and other authentication details. We also collect your IP address for maintenance and statistical purposes.
  • Financial data: Banking data such as bank details.
  • Documents of all kinds: PDF, Microsoft Office, and image files with titles, contents, folder names, or associated information such as comments and reminder dates.
  • Browsing information: Information collected as you navigate our website.
  • Data collected from third parties: Personal Data you have agreed to share with us or from publicly available social networks and databases.

Data collected via the Paradox Application

  • Account data: Name, email address, and password upon account creation.
  • Usage data: Programs followed, exercises completed, Loop sessions attended, features consulted, and session duration. Used to power AI-personalized recommendations.
  • Technical data: Unique device identifier, operating system (iOS/Android), app version, language, and timezone.
  • Push notification token: If you opt in, we use a push token (provided by Apple or Google) to send reminders and updates. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
  • Analytics data: We use Amplitude to measure app usage in an aggregated, anonymized manner. No analytics data is sold to third parties.

Data we do not collect: The Application does not collect your geographic location, contacts, photo library, microphone, or camera — unless a future feature explicitly requests your prior consent.

4. Why Do We Collect Your Personal Information and How?

We collect your Personal Data for specific purposes and on different legal grounds.

On the basis of contract performance

  • Management of sales and contracts
  • Management of recruitment operations
  • Management and provision of training services (EDEC, etc.)
  • Management of your participation in events
  • Management of interviews and/or documentaries in which you appear
  • Management of loyalty programs

The Application uses artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze your exercise results and generate personalized recommendations. This automated processing is based on your consent and aims to improve the relevance of your learning and personal development journey.

5. Do We Share Your Personal Data?

Your Personal Data is intended for authorized Paradox collaborators in charge of managing and executing contracts and legal obligations.

It may be transmitted to the following recipients:

  • Entities of the Paradox Group within the framework of an outsourcing of activity
  • Service providers and processors including: cloud providers, email and communication tools providers, project management tools providers, and analytics providers (Amplitude)
  • Commercial partners only when you have expressly consented through a checkbox on our data collection forms
  • Duly authorized public authorities, in the framework of our legal and regulatory obligations
  • Regulated professions (lawyers, bailiffs, etc.) in the context of guarantees, debt collection, or litigation

When your Data is provided to our service providers, they are required not to use it for purposes other than those originally intended. In all cases, only the necessary Personal Data is provided.

We do not sell your Personal Data.

6. Is Your Personal Data Transferred to Third Countries?

Paradox strives to keep Personal Data within France or the European Economic Area (EEA). Transfers outside the EEA occur only:

  • Within the framework of standard contractual clauses

Paradox implements all appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Data from loss, unauthorized destruction, alteration, access, or disclosure. These measures include limiting access on a need-to-know basis, pseudonymization, and encryption. Our security practices are regularly reviewed and updated.

9. What Are Your Rights?

  • Right to information: the right to have clear, precise, and complete information on the use of your Personal Data.
  • Right of access: the right to obtain a copy of the Personal Data we hold on you.
  • Right to rectification: the right to have inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data corrected.
  • Right to erasure / right to be forgotten: the right to have your Personal Data erased, unless we have a legitimate interest in keeping it.
  • Right to object: the right, under certain conditions, to object to the processing of your Personal Data.
  • Right to withdraw consent: the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on your consent.
  • Right to restriction of processing: the right to request that processing of your Personal Data be suspended.
  • Right to data portability: the right to request your Personal Data in a reusable format.
  • Right not to be subject to automated decision-making: the right to refuse fully automated decision-making.
  • Right to define post-mortem directives: the right to define directives concerning your Personal Data after your death.

Account deletion — mobile app

You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time, directly within the Application (Settings > Account > Delete account) or by contacting contact@paradox.io. Deletion will be effective within 30 days. Certain data may be retained where legally required (e.g., billing records — 10 years).
